ABOUT
My academic journey has taken me from IIT Bombay to UC San Francisco, SUTD in Singapore and Aarhus University in Denmark. Each environment shaped a different part of how I approach engineering: analytical foundations in India, clinically grounded translational research in the United States, interdisciplinary design and academic leadership in Singapore, and the integration of medical engineering, computation, education and collaborative research in Denmark.
Working across disciplines and cultures has taught me to move between professional languages, question assumptions and understand problems from clinical, technical and societal perspectives. It is why I value pragmatic solutions, diverse teams and the development of young researchers alongside the technologies we create.

LEADERSHIP & EDUCATION
My teaching and academic leadership connect research with design practice. This includes healthcare-engineering and design education, project-based learning, supervision across doctoral, postdoctoral, engineering and student levels, and the development of engineers who can reason under uncertainty and translate evidence into responsible action.
PERSPECTIVE
Medical engineering is most valuable when technical depth, clinical relevance, affordability and responsible translation are considered together. A family experience with spinal injury made that principle personal and sharpened my focus on solutions that are both sophisticated and accessible.
